Liverpool will be without some key players are they prepare to take on  Manchester United in a crunch 2024 FA Cup quarterfinal tie in Manchester, MySportDab reports.

The Reds will trade tackles with Manchester United at Old Trafford to determine who aces through to the semifinal of the FA Cup.

While United have been far from prospects this season, they are still considered a formidable opponent likely to halt Jurgen Klopp’s march to a historic quadruple.

Against a rampant and high-flying attacking arsenal at the disposal of Jurgen Klopp, Erik ten Hag was able to lead United to Anfield this season and secure a point with a barren draw.

The Old Trafford club are expected to give the Reds a run for their money as they prepare to host them at Old Trafford for the crunch FA Cup cracker on Sunday.

Not much to the service of the home side, who are also struggling with injuries, Liverpool are battling with a grinding injury crisis that has sidelined some top first-team players.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed in his post-match press conference that his team will take on Manchester United with some key players missing.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Klopp revealed top defender Ibrahim Konate, who picked up an issue in the first leg of the Europa League round-16 clash against Slavia Prague, is set to miss the game.

Klopp revealed Konate missed the last training session ahead of the game and is not likely to recover in time to feature in the game.

He also revealed Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch, who were also nursing fitness issues, are back on the team, and will be available for selection.

Despite the incessant injury crises that have plagued the team, Klopp has shown off his tactical ingenuity, leading the Reds to a Carabao Cup triumph, qualifying for the Europa League quarterfinals, and keeping tabs on the Premier League title race.

He will hope to continue ways when taking on their agelong domestic foe Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
