Liverpool Vs Manchester City Premier League cracker was not devoid of controversies and debatable refereeing decisions, MySportDab reports.

It was the last dance between two of the biggest football managers in the Premier League with Jurgen Klopp set to leave at the end of the season.

Manchester City had defied the odds to go into the lead through an unlikely goalscorer John Stones who slotted in Kevin De Bruyne’s set-piece in the 23rd minute.

Liverpool City went into the break with the lead before Liverpool fought back to level terms through Mac Allister’s spot-kick goal.

Speaking after the match, Jurgen Klopp said he will not forget the performance of his boys against Manchester City but added his side were rob of a clear penalty from Jeremy Doku’s high-chest challenge on Mac Allister inside the area.

‘‘I’m not surprised VAR didn’t overturn it, because of the high bar with the off-field official not wanting to re-referee the match.

“This situation on all positions on the pitch is 100 per cent a foul and it’s a yellow card. (Doku) hit the ball but he could only hit the ball because his foot was right there. If the ball is not there, he kills him,” he said.

Jeremy Doku had his studs up and pulled up as high as Mac Allister’s chest in a challenge that has since generated much controversy.

Some pundits have argued Liverpool would have been given a foul and a penalty but center-referee Michael Olivier chose to ignore the prompts , believing the challenge to be accidental.

Klopp confronted Olivier in the aftermath of the challenge, disputing his decision not to award a foul.

Overall, it was a great game against City with the Reds settling for a draw at the blast of the final whistle.

The draw has seen Liverpool drop off the top spot in the Premier League table for Arsenal, who are tied on same points with the Reds but boast a superior goal difference.
