Nigeria Super Eagles Unveil 26-man Squad For Ghana, Mali Friendly [See Full List]

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have unveiled their 26-man squad for the March international break, MySportDab reports.

The 2023 AFCON runners-up will take on the Black Stars of Ghana in a highly-anticipated first friendly after their 2023 AFCON heroics.

After the Ghana cracker, the team will play another friendly against Mali to wrap up the international window.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Ghana friendly will be played on March 22, 2024, before the Mali friendly on March 26.

Ahead of the double-header cracker against Ghana and Mali, the Super Eagles have released a 26-man squad to anchor the friendlies.

The squad is dominated by the same names who anchored Nigeria’s 2023 AFCON campaign in Cote d’Ivoire.

Stanley Nwabali is leading the list of goalkeepers called up for the friendly, including Francis Uzoho and Ojo Olorunleke.

Called up for defensive duties are Fulham star Calvin Bassey and Kenneth Omeruo, including Chidozie Awaziem.

Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Alhassan Yusuf, Raphael Onyedika, and Frank Onyeka have been called up in the midfield.

Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon lead the list of wingers while Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Sadiq Umar, make the cut of forwards.
