Andoni Iraola has been voted winner of the Premier League manager of the month for March, MySportDab reports.
The Spaniard heralded an impressive run in the dugout with Bournemouth in March, seeing the team through a four-match unbeaten run in the month.
Bournemouth opened their Premier League campaign in March away to Burnley at Turf Moor.
It was a cracker but the Cherries eased past the relegation battlers with a convincing 2-0 victory, thanks to goals from Kluveit and Semenyo.
After the Burnley win, Iraola led the team to a 2-2 draw against bottom-placed Sheffield United at the Vitality Stadium. It was a disappointing result but enough to earn the home side a valuable one point against the Blades.
The draw against Sheffield United happened to be Iraola’s only dropped points in the month. He led the team to win their next two fixtures in the month against Luton Town and Everton at Goodison at Vitality Stadium.
Against Luton Town, it ended in a seven-goal thriller with the Cherries settling for a 4-3 win over the newly-promoted side.
The former Rayo Vallecano manager went on to wrap up his Premier League fixtures for the month with a win over Everton at home. Semenyo and Coleman’s own goal saw the hosts scrape past the Toffees with a 2-1 victory.
With an unbeaten run, featuring three wins and a draw, Iraola saw off the competition from other managers to emerge winner of the award.
It is not the first time he has been nominated for the award but his first time to win it. He will be hoping to continue with his standout campaign with the club as the Premier League enter the crucial stages.
