Barcelona crashing out of the Champions League last night has cost them a spot at the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, MySportDab reports.

The Spanish side have themselves to blame despite taking the advantage in France from a 3-2 win only to lose badly at their home.

Barcelona won’t take part in the upcoming Club World Cup which is expected to happen in 2025 with a lot of teams competing.

However their fellow Laliga team Atletico Madrid who also crashed out last night are lucky enough as they will be making it through.

Real Madrid also already booked their spot as Champions who recently won the title, and would be the one of two teams from Spain.

According to reports from Transfer News Live, they confirmed Barcelona won’t be making it to the tournament after losing to Paris Saint Germain.

Here Is What Was Said:

“Barcelona will miss out on £50m because they were knocked out of the Champions League last night.

“The Spanish club will no longer qualify for the expanded Club World Cup in 2025.

Qualified Teams

Man City, Chelsea.
Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid.
Bayern, Borussia Dortmund.
Inter, Juventus.
Benfica, Porto.

Arsenal and Salzburg will fight for one final spot.

It won’t be an easy one for the tournament which will have other clubs across the World being selected to take part by qualifications.

The expansion of the FIFA Club world cup 2025 was confirmed long ago and Barcelona won’t be taking part in the competition after failing to qualify.
