Chelsea fans have vented their spleen on the design of the club’s 2024/25 home kit as leaked on social media, MySportDab reports.
Footage of the leaked kit, shared by Footy Headlines on their social media handle, got tongues wagging with the Blues’ fans bemoaning the lack of creativity, boring design, and the overall low quality of the kit.
Predominantly made up of the club’s signature color – Blue, the fans insist the kit lacked other intricate details and design templates for a more buoyant, spicey, and sparkling appearance.
Even the predominantly blue color has been rued for its low quality and unappealing appearance compared to other editions of the kit.
Generally, the reactions of the fans have been negative with some calling for the kit to be retrieved for a new design.
A fan wrote, “I can’t believe my eyes! When did Nike stoop so low to poor designs?”
Another fan added, “We wanted something better but it appears Nike has already started by ruining it with a wack kit design.”
Another fan wrote, “Nike has never done better. They are getting it wrong serially instead of improving. It is getting worse.”
While the reactions have generally been negative, there were crops of fans who beg to differ, lauding the design for its simplicity.
As shared by Footy Headlines, the kits boast a predominantly blue color in the body. The Nike Logo is boldly printed on the right side of the chest region while the Chelsea logo goes to the left side.
There is an orange lining on the sleeves which extends down to the armpit region. The rim of the neck is blue, and there are tiny and faintly printed strips of sliver marks on the body.
Chelsea have had a difficult campaign this season but will hope to do better next season as their newly assembled squad continues to overlap and understand themselves better.
