FT: Palace 2-4 Manchester City, De Bruyne Net BRACE! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Kevin de Bruyne scored a brace and one assist as Manchester City thrashed Crystal Palace 2-4 in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

The Champions temporarily moved to joint top of the Premier League with Arsenal and Liverpool yet to play their games.

Erling Haaland was also on target for the match which saw Pep Guardiola not starting with Phil Foden who recently scored a hat trick.

Both teams came prepared for the match which started well for the home side before they lost total control of things.

It was a good opening game for the Crystal Palace which saw Jean-Philippe Mateta giving them an early lead after a wonderful goal in the 3rd minute to make it 1-0.

Wharton made the assist which gave the home the lead but they couldn’t hold on as Kevin de Bruyne leveled things 1-1 in the 13th minute for Manchester City.

It wasn’t so much that happened in the first half which saw Crystal Palace holding Manchester City as both teams headed for the break with a 1-1 scoreline.

There was more work needed in the second half which started with Rico Lewis’s exceptional goal ensuring the game quickly became 1-2 in the 47th minute as they pushed on.

Manchester City put themselves double ahead after another goal which came from Erling Haaland in the 66th minute with an assist from De Bruyne to make it 1-3.

The Belgium midfielder scored a goal in the 70th minute shortly after making an assist which gave him a brace and the scoreline was 1-4 with an assist from Rodri against Crystal Place.

The home side pulled one goal back through Odsonne Edouard with an assist from Jeffrey Schlupp in the 86th minute ensuring things were cut down to 2-4.

Manchester City ended up taking a 2-4 victory against Crystal Palace after 90 minutes which they remain on course to defending their Premier League title once again.
