Mauricio Pochettino has come out to defend Nicolas Jackson after massive abuse on the player following Chelsea’s loss to City, MySportDab reports.

The Senegalese striker have been facing a lot of backlash from fans and mostly on the Internet for his missed chances during games.

Mauricio Pochettino have always remain confident in Nicolas Jackson who he continue to defend despite the heavy criticism being faced from the fans.

Things have been a bit rough mostly for the player who is only on his first season with Chelsea who have also been bad since the beginning of the campaign.

However Nicolas Jackson have put up some decent numbers but his lack of converting many more opportunities have been the situation for him at the club.

The striker could have scored more goals than Cole Palmer who have 20 already if some of his chances were converted during games.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed comments made by Mauricio Pochettino in support of Nicolas Jackson.

Here Is What Was Said:

“Jackson is doing fantastic and he will always have my support”.

“He’s doing an amazing job for the team: running, scoring, assists. It’s not easy on the first season”.

“Nicolas fights for the club and he will be better next season, no doubts”.

There have been some call which are expected to be put into work during the summer window which could see a new striker come in.

There are a lot of names being lineup including African best player Victor Osimhen who is an expensive striker in the market today.

If Chelsea get a new striker, there are possibilities of Nicolas Jackson facing massive competition to get playing time next season.
