Embattled Brazil footballing icon Dani Alves has broken his silence after being granted bail following his conviction, MySportDab reports.

Dani Alves saw his career gains eroded drastically after he was whisked away in January 2024 following allegations he raped a woman in a Barcelona nightclub a month earlier.

He was remanded in Brians 2 prison in Barcelona and denied bail. After a dragging court procedure, Alves was finally found guilty and sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison, including a five-year parole, and a fine of £500,000 to the victim.

After his conviction, he was finally granted bail but on conditions he regularly visit the court every week, submit his international passport, and pay a million euros bail bond.

According to reports, Alves’ conditional freedom through the bail was delayed as he could not afford the bail bond.

Spanish journalist Martin Blazquez said it was a Brazilian magazine that paid Dani Alves’ £1m bail bond to secure his release in exchange for him granting the magazine an interview.

Alves hosted his entire family and friends after his release and celebrated his father’s birthday in a grand style.

He has also reportedly reconciled with his formerly estranged wife Joanna Sanz.

Continuing on his explorations after his bail, Alves reportedly granted an interview to Spanish outlet Ed Periodico.

When asked in the interview how he adapted to life in prison, the former Barcelona star boasted he could survive anywhere.

“Wherever I go I survive.

”I adapt to everything because for me it is not the place that makes the person, but the person that makes the place.’

Dani Alves will be docked again when his appeal will be heard for a final verdict.

The 40-year-old has insisted he is innocent of the charges, hence his decision to appeal the judgment.
