Liverpool have reportedly reach an agreement to sign Ruben Amorim as the club’s new manager, MySportDab reports.
The Reds have been in the hunt for Jurgen Klopp’s successor after the German announced in January 2024 he will leave at the end of the season.
Several top European managers made Liverpool’s managerial shortlist to replace Jurgen Klopp with Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso, Germany national team boss Julian Nagelsmann, and Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi making the cut.
Amorim emerged as a top candidate for the job after Xabi Alonso confirmed his decision to stick with Bayer Leverkusen beyond this season.

Roberto De Zerbi was gradually slipping of the Liverpool’s radar with a series of recent setbacks with the Seagulls, leaving Amorim as a sole standing favorite for the job.
Meanwhile, Liverpool had stepped up their move for Amorim with Xabi Alonso and De Zerbi off the radar. And now reports from Sky Germany claim the Pemier League giants have reached an agreement with Amorim for a three-year contract till 2027.
Ruben Amorim still has a contract with Sporting Lisbon till 2026 but had refused to rule out a possible summer exit from the club.
The 39-year-old has a release clause on his Sporting Lisbon contract which will be active this summer with Liverpool ready to trigger he clause if all goes as planned.
Amorim worked his way to the top cadre of European managers in literally three years following his breakout as first-team manager with Sporting Braga in 2020/2021 season.
He won Taca de Portugal with the club in his debut season as first-team manager and was poached by Sporting Lisbon the next season, where he won a domestic double of Taca de Portugal and the Primeira Liga.
