Mauricio Pochettino Blames Chelsea Players For 5-0 Arsenal Loss

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino lumped the blame on the players as Chelsea collapsed like a pack of cards before a free-scoring Arsenal side in the London derby in the Premier League on Tuesday, MySportDab reports

A rampant Arsenal side ran riot over the London neighbors, cruising to a deserved 5-0 victory at Emirates Stadium.

Leandro Trossard paved the way for the victory, when he latched on Declan Rice’s assist to race the hosts in front just four minutes into the game.

The goal was enough to separate the tie in the first half as Chelsea failed to find an equaliser with a largely below-par performance.

The second half was a full nightmare and it unfolded like a movie before thousands of the away fans at the Emirate Stadium.

Reckless defending and uncoordinated tactical moves saw the Blues fell casualty to Arsenal’s tactical finesse and clinical finishing.

Former Chelsea star Kai Havertz showed no mercy as he held his former club to ransom, savaging them with a quickfire brace that extended the score margin for the home side.

Ben White was equally remarkable with his impressive performance for the Gunners as he bagged a brace to steer the Premier League title hopefuls to a deserved 5-0 victory.

It was another Arsenal masterclass but a chaotic evening for Chelsea as they stumble to their biggest Premier League defeat against the Gunners.

Speaking after the game, Mauricio Pochettino, who has seen pressure tanked up on him after the loss, blamed Chelsea players for the loss.

According to him, the team gave up easily, starting the game poorly right from the first half before the total capitulation in the second half.

“We talked at half-time about how it is not possible to start the game like this. But we started in a bad way again. We conceded two goals and in this moment, the team gave up. We were not in the game.”

The Blues will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Aston Villa in their next game while Arsenal returns to action at the weekend against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, April 28.

Meanwhile, the derby win over Chelsea has seen the Gunners extend lead on top of the Premier League to 3 points, but have played a game more than Liverpool in second place and two more than Manchester City in third place.
