Bayern Munich have made a shock move for Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, MySportDab reports.

Kompany led Burnley to Premier League promotion in the 2022/23 season but is back to the England second tier after a season in the top flight.

Burnley finished 19th on the Premier League table with 24 points after managing 5 wins, 9 draws, and 24 defeats.

Despite the Clarets’ misfortunes in the English top-flight, Kompany has attracted offers from bigger clubs for his promising managerial trails.

He has earned plaudits for a well-organized Burnley side with an impressive and bolder attacking style of play even against big teams.

Despite failing to beat the drop, Kompany could move from coaching an England Championship side to managing one of the biggest football clubs in Europe.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are considering the Belgian tactician as a potential replacement option for Thomas Tuchel.

The report adds Bayern Munich hierarchy have discussed Vincent Kompany internally and could move for the Burnley manager.

MySportDab understands the Bundesliga giants have yet to fill their vacant dugout after Thomas Tuchel left at the end of the season.

They suffered several setbacks in their move to find a replacement for Tuchel and had returned to the negotiation table with Tuchel in the final hours but nothing was agreed upon.

Former Brighton manager, Roberto De Zerbi, who mutually agreed to end his collaboration with Brighton at the end of the season, was also among the shortlisted candidates for the job but the rumors were quashed.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed the Bavarians have ended talks with Roberto De Zerbi and are exploring other options for the role.

Amidst Bayern Munich’s interest, Fabrizio Romano also suggests Brighton are eyeing a move for Kompany as well to replace Roberto De Zerbi.
