Bayern Munich Reach Agreement For Vincent Kompany

Bayern Munich have closed in on signing Vincent Kompany as the club’s manager, MySportDab reports.

Vincent Kompany emerged as a possible option for the Bavarians’ dugout after the club failed to reach an agreement with Thomas Tuchel to continue after initially announcing their decision to end their collaboration with the UCL winner.

Before the failed talks with Tuchel, the Bundesliga giants had also eyed Bayer Leverkusen Manager who turned down their proposal to continue with Bayer Leverkusen next season.

Germany national team manager Julian Nagelsmann, who left the club in March 2023, was also approached but no progress was recorded as Nagelsmann chose to extend his contract with the Germany national team till the 2026 World Cup.

Former Manchester United caretaker manager and now Austria national team manager Ralf Rangnick also got a proposal for the job but turned down the offer to continue on his international managerial career with Austria.

After a series of setbacks, the Bavarians returned to the negotiation with Thomas Tuchel but no agreement was reached, as confirmed by both parties.

As the deadlock with Tuchel, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed internal discussions were ongoing among members of the club’s hierarchy to move for Vincent Kompany.

While the club publicly debunked the reports, close sources reveal talks between the club and Kompany is on the fast lane.

Now, according to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Vincent Kompany on personal terms to become the club’s manager.

The report adds the Bundesliga giants have stepped up their move and begun talks with Burnley over compensation to wrap up the deal.

Vincent Kompany signed a five-year contract with Burnley in 2022. Despite having four years left on his deal with the Clarets, the 39-year-old is reportedly set to join the Bundesliga giants as the new manager should Burnley agree on a deal we the desperate suitors.

Vincent Kompany led Burnley back to the English top-flight in his first season with the club but failed to keep them there as they suffered relegation back to the second tier.

From continuing at Turf Moor in the Championship, Kompany could be playing Champions League football next season as Bayern Munich manager.
