Borussia Dortmund have doubled down on their effort to sign Mason Greenwood this summer, MySportDab reports.

Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl refused to rule out a possible move for the player this summer.

Speaking ahead of Dortmund’s Champions League Final clash with Real Madrid on Saturday, June 1, 2024, Kehl said he would not talk about transfer when asked about rumors linking Dortmund to Greenwood.

He however added the club have their plans this summer in the transfer market and will go ahead and execute them.

”I don’t want to talk about any rumors at the moment because it doesn’t make sense. Let’s play the final on Saturday first,’ Kehl said.

”Of course, we have plans for next season and we have discussed many scenarios but let’s focus on Saturday and then we’ll see how we move on,’ said Kehl.

Mason Greenwood’s loan spell with Getafe will expire on June 30 with the English winger set to return to the club.

MySportDab understands Manchester United want a permanent exit solution for the 22-year-old this summer and have slammed a £40million price tag on the player.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund reportedly wants a loan move for the player with another United loanee to the club Jadon Sancho due back to Old Trafford after this season.

It is understood Dortmund are open to a permanent move or Sancho but have yet to progress in talks with United for the player, hence they are hopeful of securing a loan move for Greenwood to replace the in-form player.

Borussia Dortmund are not the only club interested in a move for Mason Greenwood. Napoli, Juventus, Barcelona, including Atletico Madrid are some of the club’s link to the player following his impressive loan shift with Getafe.
