Chelsea Reach Agreement For Willian Estevāo

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Palmeiras to sign fast-rising Brazilian young talent Willian Estevāo, MySportDab reports.

The Franca-born 17-year-old Palmeiras winger caught the attention of the Blues and other top European clubs following his standout campaign with Palmeiras after his breakout in 2023.

Arsenal and Barcelona were among the clubs linked to Estevāo but Chelsea led the pack of European interests milling around the player.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have agreed terms with Palmeiras verbally to sign Willian Estevāo.

The agreement comes after the Blues’ initial offer of €57m was turned down by the club. The rejected offer comprised €32m transfer fee plus €25m as add-ons which was rejected in hand.

Now, they have met Palmeiras’ €65m demand for the player, comprising €40m transfer fee, and €25m as add-ons, leading to the verbal agreement for the player, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Fabrizio Romano adds Chelsea are now waiting for Palmeiras’ president to sign the required papers for the Blues to seal the deal.

It is understood personal terms have already been agreed with the player with Estevāo eager to take his burgeoning career to Europe.

The Brazil youth player will not join the Blues immediately as he has yet to clock 18. When the contract is sealed, he will join Chelsea in 2025.

Estevāo recorded his big break with Palmeiras in 2023 after a promising spell in the club’s Academy. He has made 11 Brasileiro Serie A appearances for the club, scoring one goal.

The youngster also boasts a promising stats with Brazil U-17, scoring 3 goals in five appearances.
