Erik ten Hag Aims Dig On New Liverpool Boss Arne Slot

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has disputed the media hype around nee Liverpool manager Arne Slot, MySportDab reports.

The Man United boss, who is waiting to learn his fate in the United dugout, believes Arne Slot is overrated.

Speaking with Voetbal international via The Mirror, the under-pressure gaffer said Arne Slot has done a good job at Feyenoord but not enough to rank him above other Eredivisie Managers like Frank Boazs of PSG Eindhoven.

According to him, PSV Eindhoven have done a better job than Slot’s Feyenoord this season, hence the manager deserve his stars more compared to Slot.

“People have been going overly lyrical about Feyenoord.

“Feyenoord were steady this year, but not top. PSV Eindhoven were two classes better in all areas. In terms of dominating the ball, in terms of putting pressure, in terms of intensity, you name it,” he added.

Slot led Feyenoord to finish second in the just-concluded 2023-24 Eredivisie campaign behind champions PSV.

However, Slot still stayed on top of his game as he added another silverware to his collection with the club, winning the KNVB Cup.

As Jurgen Klopp’s successor at Liverpool, Slot has been held in high esteem by the Liverpool media and the club’s hierarchy for his track record of developing players and playing great attacking football – a vignette of the Liverpool heritage.

He has been tipped to continue from where Jurgen Klopp stop and build on the legacies of the German tactician.

The 45-year-old has already arrived Merseyside to resume duties and was spotted at the club as he sets out for a new exciting challenge.
