Phil Foden has been voted as the 2023/24 Premier League Player of the Season following his standout campaign with Manchester City, MySportDab reports.
The 23-year-old has been at the heart of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City winning machine this term, scoring 17 goals with 8 assists to take his goal involvements to 25 in 34 Premier League games.
His 17-goal tally consists of two hat-tricks, adding more flowers to the youngster’s remarkable career. It is the third time, Phil Foden has bagged the Premier League Awards in four seasons.
He won the Premier League Young Player of the Season back-to-back in 2021 and 2022 season before being overtaken by teammate Erling Haaland who claimed both the Premier League Young Player and Premier League Award on his debut campaign last term.
In the last five seasons, Manchester City players have dominated the award with Kevin De Bruyne winning it back-to-back in 2019 and 2020 before Ruben Diaz claimed in the 2021 season.
Phil Foden has been deployed as a winger and centrally by Pep Guardiola and has proven his versatility as an attacking midfielder acing both roles with grace and great technical finesse.
The England prolific attacker has been tipped as one of the most exciting talents in English and European football. Having aced Premier League Young Player of the Season twice, it was a matter of time before he hits the peak of his career by clinching the ultimate Player of the Season Award.
It is the first time he has clinched the award, seeing off the competition from seven other nominees to clinch the award.

Leading the list of nominees’ was Foden’s teammate Erling Haaland, including Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak, Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard, Chelsea sensation, Cole Palmer, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, and Aston Villa attacker Ollie Watkins.
Foden will hope to add to his coveted award by helping City ace their record-extending fourth Premier League title with a win over West Ham United on the final matchday on Sunday.
