FT: Montreal 2-3 Inter Miami, Luis Suarez Inspires Stunning Comeback! [VIDEO]

Inter Miami sensation Luis Suarez was on target as Inter Miami fought back from two goals down to defeat Montreal 2-3 in MLS matchday 13 clash, MySportDab reports.

It was a blank show for Lionel Messi but his South American compatriot and fellow Barcelona legend Suarez was equal to the task.

The Herons went into the game top of the MLS Eastern Conference table with 24 points after 12 games, thanks to Luiz Suarez and Lionel Messi’s combined goal contributions of 34.

It was a near deadlock in Montreal for the leaders of the East as Montreal nearly pulled what would have been a shock victory.

Bryce Duke had raced the home side into the lead in the 22nd minute, no thanks to a rickety defense by the Gerardo Martino-led side.

10 minutes after Bryce Duke’s opener, Jules-Anthony edged the home side close to a victory by doubling the lead.

Going down by two goals a few minutes after the half-hour was not a good one for the Herons but it was not too much of a burden for the countless number of elite footballers in the squad to weather.

Matias was the first to get on the score sheet for the away side after he curled in a stunning freekick from 50 yards to halve the deficit.

Determined to even the scores before the break, Luis Suarez scored his 11th MLS goal for the Herons in the stoppage-time of the first half to peg back the hosts to a 2-2 draw.

Away from the four-goal haul in the first half, the second half was drab and dour with no goal spices but Inter Miami did the needful in the 59th minute, firing in what turned out to be the match-winner through Cremaschi.

The Herons have now consolidated their lead on the MLS Eastern Conference table with 27 points, 3 points better than Cincinnati, who have a game in hand.
