John Fury, the father of world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, was brutally wounded in the head following a violent confrontation with Oleksandr Usyk’s team, MySportDab reports.

The boxing enthusiast had blood dripped down his forehead after he came off the worst following a confrontation with a member of Usyk’s camp.

It was a media day between the two camps ahead of their highly anticipated boxing match on Saturday, May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

It all started when the two teams crossed paths in the lobby of the palatial Riyadh Hilton Hotel.

While Tyson Fury’s team were moderate, Oleksandr Usyk’s team orchestrated the fallout as they provocatively shouted Usyk’s name in front of Tyson Fury’s team.

Things went out of hand as the two teams came an inch close to each other. The roaring Usyk’s team held their nerves but tensions had already begun to soar out of proportion.

At the peak of the tension, Fury’s Dad, Fury Snr, lost his cool on one member of Usyk’s team.

In footage shared on this post, an angry John Fury refused to spare the hints, immediately headbutting the provocateur.

The clash nearly sparked a mass brawl as John Fury’s victim wanted to fight back but was held back by other members of the team.

While other members of Usyk’s team were holding off John Fury’s victim from retaliating, Fury seemed to have gotten himself into a mess already.

His forehead was split open due to the headbutt. Blood was seen dripping down the forehead after the violent confrontation.

Both Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury were absent during the melee with reports they were granting interviews in a side of the hotel.

The fallout underscored the rivalry and hostilities between the two teams as they get ready to slug it out for the world heavyweight title on Saturday.

When asked why he headbutted the young provocateur, John Fury said he clashed with the young man because he came close to him still chanting “Usyk” provocatively.

Some fans have called for John Fury to banned from attending the match on Saturday but it has been confirmed Saudi authorities will not press charges for the fallout.
