Manchester United Prepare £105m Bid For Casemiro Replacement

Manchester United are head-on with their push to replace Casemiro in the summer, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils are reportedly preparing a mega £105m bid for Benfica youngster Joao Neves to stand in for the the Real Madrid legend, who has been linked to a summer exit from the club.

Neves, 23, has been a top target for Europe’s top clubs following his impressive campaign with Benfica in Portugal elite division.

He was thrust into the spotlight after a prolific campaign with the Primeira Liga giants saw him win Primeira Liga Player of the Month for four consecutive months from September to December 2023.

United have been the frontliners in the race to sign the player with Portugal outlet The Record claiming the Old Trafford outfit are ready to fork out the fixed £105m soldered to the contract of the player as his release clause.

The Red Devils consider Neves key to the club’s midfield plan amidst Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s planned summer overhaul.

With Kobbie Mainoo cementing his place in the United midfield, a combo with Joao Neves could provide the Old Trafford outfit with the ideal midfield partnership for next season.

Meanwhile, Neves has four years left on his Benfica contract with the Portuguese giants reportedly uninterested in a sanctioning a sale of the player this summer.

However, a £105m offer by Manchester United could be tempting enough to force the club to part ways with the player.

Apart from his promising club career with Benfica, Joao Neves is also tipped to ace a sparkling international career with Portugal national team, having made four appearances for the team so far.
