Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed his plans after his spell with Arsenal, MySportDab reports.

Arteta assumed the reins as Arsenal manager in 2019, replacing the Gunners’ legendary manager Arsene Wenger.

In four seasons, Arteta has built up the Gunners to one of the most formidable sides in the English top-flight.

He has led the team to stage a challenge for the Premier League title in the last two seasons, marking his transformation of the squad from the peripheries to an emerging giant in England.

While his tactical acumen and technical finesse has seen him ace his first first-team management role perfectly, the 46-year-old is not planning to continue with the Gunners till infinity.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s final Premier League clash with Wolves at the Emirates, the former Manchester City assistant manager said he will one day return to Spain to continue his managerial career.

According to him, there has been a strong desire from him to take his managerial career to Spain, where he began his football career.

He however added he is happy at Arsenal and will continue with the club until his contract expires as he loves the club and also feels loved.

“Yes, home is calling and there is a strong desire from my end to return there. But it will not be now. I am happy with Arsenal and I feel loved but I  will return home in due time.”

Mikel Arteta is contracted to Arsenal till 2025. He has a year left on his contract, and there have been reports he could put pen to paper for another new contract next season.
