Chelsea have step up their move for Nigeria footballing sensation and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, MySportDab reports.

The Blues have shown a long-standing interest in signing Victor Osimhen since last season and have reportedly made a crucial step to bring the prolific forward to Stamford Bridge.

Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reveal Chelsea have made their ‘first contact’ with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen.

The report adds Napoli, who are open to Victor Osimhen’s exit in the summer, want a swap deal plus a cash offer for Osimhen before a deal could be brokered.

They reportedly want Romelu Lukaku to be included in the swap offer, including one unnamed Chelsea youngster.

On the price offer, the Azzuri are reportedly offering Chelsea the player at a cut-price between £68m and £77m in addition to the swap deal.

It is still unclear whether Chelsea will accede to Napoli demands for Victor Osimhen with Napoli’s incoming sporting director from Juventus Giovanni Manna reportedly ready to double down on the player-plus-cash demand for the forward.

Meanwhile, the Blues are set to face a stiff competition from PSG for the services of the 2022/23 Serie A Golden Boot winner.

The Ligue 1 giants are said to be strongly in the race for Osimhen with some reports claiming a verbal agreement has been reached with the player.

As things stand, Osimhen’s next career stop after his spell with Napoli is still a subject of speculation but conjectures on the player’s future will be settled this summer.

It is understood Napoli are ready cashed in on the player this summer. Meanwhile, despite the reported demand for a swap offer from the Blues, it is more likely the club will part ways with Osimhen, selling him to the highest-bidder
