Oleksandr Usyk has defeated Tyson Fury to emerge the undisputed World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, MySportDab reports.

The Ukrainian boxing star was en route to securing victory as he ramped up pressure on Fury right from the first round with a sustained offensive.

Fury maintained strong defensive moves, trying to time the Ukrainian before unleashing his deadly punches but it appears he was losing the bout to a more energetic Usyk.

In the second and third round, it was still a slow showing by the Gypsy King. He was relaxed and unsullied by Usyk but was losing it by punch numbers.

The bout heated up in final rounds with Fury attempting to mount a response and getting his hooks right. However, Usyk was surprisingly energetic enough to stop him and continue on the offensive.

In the 9th round, Fury was in trouble after he fell to one of the right hooks by Usyk. And with the Ukrainian’s commanding presence, the bout was actually going his way.

However, it was still a tightly-contested fight. While Fury failed to match his opponents pace and offensives, he was more strategic and occasionally got the better of roaring Usyk.

After the final round, Oleksandr Usyk was declared the winner. The Ukrainian won by a split-decision on two cards, winning 115-112 and 114-113 while Fury won on only one 114-113.

The victory has seen Usyk become the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion of the world, settling the score between the two boxing giants.
