Premier League Fires Warning To Fans Ahead Of Final Matchday

The Premier League have fired a stern warning to fans who may want to invade the stadium on Premier League final matchweek, MySportDab reports.

In a statement shared on the Premier League social media handle, fans have been cautioned from stepping onto the pitch during or after the Premier League matches going forward.

The statement adds fans who flout the order will be sanctioned for a ban and could also face police action.

“As we approach the exciting final stages of the season, we want to remind fans to show their support in a positive way and keep everyone safe on a matchday.

“The pitch is for players just as the stands are for supporters. Anyone who enters the field of play without permission is breaking the law and can face a ban and police action.

“Please keep matches safe and welcoming for everyone to enjoy,” the statement reads.

The Premier League title race is now a two-horse race between Manchester City and Arsenal. Arsenal are top of the table with 83 points, one point above challengers Manchester City in second place.

Manchester City have a game in hand over Arsenal but based on permutations, the title race will be dragged to the final matchweek of the season if Arsenal win their next fixture against Manchester United.

Excitement and anticipation is building among the two rival fans as the two clubs edged close to making history.

It has been learnt Arsenal are planning a bus parade along Islington Town in London on Monday, May 19, a day after the final matchweek to celebrate possible triumph, and Manchester City could also do the same if the pip the Gunners to the title again.

There are projections the celebrations may start right from the stadium with hordes of fans invading the pitch as usual.

Concerned about safety and potential disasters from spontaneous crowd action, the Premier League have deemed it necessary to issue the directive to warn fans ahead of the league climaxes in a GV.
