Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.

In a report shared by Fabrizio Romano, De Zerbi is expected to step down as Brighton manager at the end of the season.

The Italian tactician took over as Brighton manager last season, signing a two-and-a-half-year year contract. He qualifed the club for Europe on his debut season, breaking an over-a-decade deadlock on his debut campaign.

This season, the highly-sought manager followed up his prolific debut campaign with sensational campaign in the European scene.

He qualified the team to the last eight of the UEFA Europa League where they lost to Roma.

With a year left on his contract, De Zerbi was tipped to run out his contract with Brighton, and possibly bag a new deal following his impressive record.

However, sources close to the club reveal there have been brewing tensions between him and the club’s hierarchy.

While Brighton were reportedly open to keeping De Zerbi, differences in priorities and set goals forced the club to end their collaboration with the manager.

Reacting to his imminent exit, De Zerbi echoed sentiments of the apparent fallout but thanked the club for an opportunity to take his managerial career to the Pemier League.

The abrupt end to De Zerbi’s Brighton spell has thrown the manager into the rumor mill with reports he could replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich manager.

De Zerbi will take charge of his last game as Brighton manager on Sunday, May 19, when Brighton will take Manchester United in the 20232/24 Premier League final matchday.
