Gareth Southgate has come out to defend his decision of not including Marcus Rashford on his list of players for Euro 2024, MySportDab reports.
The England national team coach surprised so many after naming his provisional list ahead of the Euro tournament coming up.
Gareth Southgate had alot to say concerning Marcus Rashford not being included in his provisional list which are players invited for training camp.
There are many others who didn’t make the cut as the Three Lions coach mainly based his list off younger players.
Some who made the cut have never been invited to play in a major tournament for England national team since making their break.
Manchester United Kobbie Mainoo is also on the provisional list which Marcus Rashford wasn’t invited with the England coach giving out his reason.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the comments which was made by Southgate over the Manchester United player absent.

“I just feel other players in that area of the pitch have had better seasons. That’s it”.
Former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson was not included as it will be his first time not getting an invitation.
Raheem Sterling also continued to face axe as he still couldn’t find a way into the team since his World Cup drama.
Marcus Rashford will have to remain with Manchester United while the Euro 2024 tournament will be going on with his participation.
