Erik ten Hag Has More Wins Than Guardiola, Klopp On First 50 Games In England

A shocking statistic has revealed Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has not performed poorly as the media appears to put it, MySportDab reports.

It is common knowledge the Dutchman is facing an uncertain future at Manchester United following a not-so-stellar 2023-24 Premier League campaign with United.

United finished 8th on the Premier League campaign losing out of European football next season before the FA Cup final clash against Manchester City at Wembley on May 25.

MySportDab understands United hierarchy, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, have yet to take a decision on Erik ten Hag but sources close to the club reveal they are ready to end their collaboration with the Dutchman this summer.

Away from the misfortunes of the 2023-24 campaign, Erik ten Hag’s charges against City at Wembley saw the club turn a corner to clinch their 13th FA Cup trophy.

However, United are reportedly poised to decide on the future of the former Ajax boss irrespective of the outcome of the FA Cup final at Wembley.

While United’s decision is more likely to be shaped by Ten Hag’s performance in the just-concluded campaign, an overview of the Dutchman’s first 50 games has revealed he has not faltered deeply though.

In a report shared by ESPN, Erik ten Hag has won more games than Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in his first 50 games in English football.

A breakdown of the stat shows Guardiola won 29 of his first 50 games in England while Jurgen Klopp won 23. And Erik ten Hag has surpassed both of them, winning 35.

Compared to other top managers in the English elite division, this shows the Dutchman has not come out worse despite the recent misfortunes.
