British boxer Tyson Fury has disputed his bout loss to Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, MySportDab reports.

The two boxing greats locked horns in a highly-anticipated boxing fight on Saturday, May 18 for the undisputed World Heavyweight Boxing Title.

It was a tightly-contested fight but Usyk was declared winner by a split-decision on two cards, winning 115-112 and 114-113, while Tyson Fury won on 114-113 on the other card.

Speaking in a lengthy post-match press conference, Tyson Fury seems to discredit the decision of the judges to award the fight to Usyk.

According to him, it was a tightly-contested affair but he believed he won the match but lost out due to judge’s emotional prejudice.

“I believe I won that fight. I think he won a few rounds but I won the majority of them.

“His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war. Make no mistake, I won that fight in my opinion,” Fury said.

Tyson Fury seemed to have lost his bearing in the match from the first three rounds as his defensive tactics failed against Usyk’s spirited and sustained offensives.

The British boxer ran around in the ring early into proceedings, trying to time his punches to get the better of his opponent.

He established his presence late into the fight but seems to have lost it in the 9th round when Usyk got one of his right hooks right.

Overall, it was a fight of thin margins, effectively contested by both fighters but Usyk seemed to have finish stronger to claim the world heavyweight boxing title.
