West Ham United have reached an agreement with former Wolves and Sevilla manager Julen Lopetequi to become the club’s new manager, MySportDab reports.

Julen Lopetequi, who recently lost his job as Wolves manager, will return to the Premier League, replacing exit-bound David Moyes in the Hammers’ dugout.

According to an exclusive report by Fabrizio Romano, the former Sevilla boss has reportedly accepted West Ham’s proposal and is ready to proceed to the formal stages to wrap up the deal.

“Julen Lopetegui has agreed terms with West Ham to become the new head coach replacing David Moyes from next season.

“Lopetegui has accepted #WHUFC proposal, ready to proceed to formal stages.

“Details being finalised then contracts will be signed but agreement in place,” Fabrizio Romano says.

Julen Lopetequi will take charge of the Hammers from next season with David Moyes set to end his seven-year spell with the club.

MySportDab understands West Ham United’s new technical director Tim Steidten, who joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen last year, has been the mastermind of West Ham’s decision to part ways with David Moyes.

Despite leading the team to their first European trophy in decades, Tim Steidten is said to have fixed his eyes on getting Moyes off the Hammers’ dugout. The pair have reportedly struggled with strained relations since the 44-year-old assumed the reins as West Ham United’s technical director.

It will be the second time Julen Lopetequi will manage a Premier League club after his botched spell with Wolves.

Meanwhile, David Moyes is expected to leave at the end of the season after seven years with the London outfit.
