EURO2024: Poland 1-2 Netherlands, Weghorst Net WINNER! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Wout Weghorst scored a late winner as Netherlands came from behind to beat Poland 1-2 at the Euro 2024, MySportDab reports.

It was a well-organized game for the Oranges who made sure they did not panic after going down in the encounter which ended up in their favor.

It was an evenly balanced match between both teams who did well enough but it was the Dutch national team who claimed the win.

The kickoff was good with them both trying to find something to set the ball rolling in their favor which didn’t happen immediately.

Poland did well enough from their end as they pushed forward without Robert Lewandowski leading the attack for them in the match.

Adam Buksa scored in the 16th minute which sent shockwaves to the Netherlands who could keep their defense in check as things turned 1-0.

Piotr Zieliński was the man responsible for the assist which saw the match opening up as both teams carried on pushing before Coady Gakpo made it 1-1.

The Liverpool man scored in the 29th minute with an assist from Nathan Ake which made sure the Netherlands came back to level 1-1 against Poland before the first half ended.

They came for the second half with so much that needed to be done between them as the search for the lead continued.

The Netherlands were very much comfortable with things shifting to their possession as they continued playing with everything they had.

It was a good one for Poland who were also in the match but couldn’t make anything much happen despite their opportunities.

Wout Weghorst was able to score in the 83rd minutes after converting from a loosed ball which ensured things between them became 1-2.

The Netherlands claimed a 1-2 victory against Poland after 90 minutes of action giving them all the three points needed heading into the next game.
