It was a close match between the teams who had match each other for everything they had to offer going forward and at the back.

South Africa took a 0-1 lead unto the break against Nigeria who couldn’t manage to make any of their effort count for something after 45 minutes.

The second half was good for the Super Eagles who were able to mount a comeback that was well deserved despite the end result.

Nigeria wasted no time in equalizing the game after a stunner from Fisayo Dele-Bashiru netted in the 46th minutes to ensure it was 1-1.

After the leveler, there was nothing more South Africa could do than to ensure they had to organize themselves well for the remaining minutes.

Nothing was coming through from both sides as they created numerous opportunities which poor finishing let them down on many occasions while others were stopped.
