Harry Kane Fires Warning To England Teammates Ahead Of Euros

England national team captain Harry Kane has fired warning to his teammates ahead of Euro 2024 after the team crashed to a shock 1-0 defeat to Iceland at Wembley, MySportDab reports.

The Three Lions lost in front of their home fans to a lowly-rated Iceland in their final Euro 2024 preparatory clash.

Thorstensson scored the match-winner as Iceland came out with an unlikely victory over the European heavyweights at Wembley.

Speaking after the game, Harry Kane, who is expected to lead the team to their first European triumph in Germany, urged his teammates not to sleep over after the shock defeat to Iceland.

The Tottenham and England all-time topscorer stressed the team should not expect it easy going into the tournament and that the Iceland match should be a learning curve for the team to buckle up for the Europe-wide competition in Germany.

“We have to step up our game. It was a disappointing performance at Wembley. And it is a wake-up call for the team to do more.

“We should not expect it to be easy going into the tournament. There are no minnows in the game. So all hands must be on deck to get results going to the tournament,” he said.

Harry Kane fired blank as England collapsed to the shock defeat to Iceland.  Away from the Iceland deadlock, the Bayern Munich forward will be hoping to lead the Three Lions to a triumphant finish in Germany.

The Three Lions will kick off their campaign against Serbia on June 16 before playing Denmark and Slovenia in the remaining group matches for a place in round 16 of the tournament.
