Mexico 2-3 Brazil, Endrick Nets Late Winner! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

It was another Endrick show as Brazil breezed past Mexico in a five-goal thriller friendly, MySportDab reports.

Tip as favourites to win the 2024 Copa America, the Selecao, who are yet to taste defeat under new manager Dorivial Junior, tested their strengths and depth against the Mexicans in a seething international friendly on Sunday, June 8.

The South American giants paraded some of their biggest names featuring Real Madrid sensation Vinicius Jr, PSG defender Maquinhos, including Arsenal top defender Gabriel Magalhaes.

It was a prolific start for the Copa America 2024 favourites. Just five minutes into the game, Pereira fired the team into the lead.

Going down early by a lone goal, Mexico did little to mount a comeback. They struggled under Brazil’s sustained pressure with the Selecao pushing hard for a second.

Pereira’s goal happened to be the only goal in the first half as Brazil headed into the break with a lead.

In the second half, Mexico improved their gameplay, but could not match the level of the Brazilians. Nine minutes into the second half, the Selecao struck again to double the lead.

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes scored from Couto’s assist to make it 2-0 for the dominant Dorivial Junior side.

Down by two goals, Mexico began to make a bold presence in the game after the hour mark.

In the 73rd minute, Quinones got one back for the Mexicans to enliven comeback hopes. It was a nervy run to the finish line after Quinones’s strike. Brazil crossed the 90th-minute mark with the lead before being pegged back to 2-2 after Mexico equalised through Martinez.

With a few minutes of added time left, the Selecao faced a run against time to return to the lead. Just at the last kick of the ball in the 90+6th minute, Endrick rose to the occasion, scoring a late winner to hand the team a win.  [Watch Video Highlights Here
