PSG could pull off a sensational transfer shocker this summer as they plot a shock summer swoop for Vinicius Jr, MySportDab reports.

Vinicius Jr, who has been a standout performer for Los Blancos since joining the club from Flamengo in 2018, could be taking up another challenge soon.

He has made 176 LaLiga appearances for the clubs, scoring 49 goals. The 23-year-old’s heroics on the field has seen him raked in three LaLiga titles, one Copa Del Rey, three Supercopa de Espana, two UEFA Champions League titles, one UEFA Super Cup, and two FIFA Club World Cup.

Following the exit of Kylian Mbappe to the LaLiga outfit, French outlets report PSG are eyeing a shock move for the attacking sensation to replace Mbappe.

The 2024 Ballon d’Or favourite recently committed his future to a new five-year contract with Real Madrid till 2029 and has reiterated his commitment to the club.

However, there are speculations he could be forced to leave the LaLiga outfit following Kylian Mbappe’s arrival. Both Vinicius Jr and Kylian play as forwards on the wings.

Carlo Ancelotti could face a selection crisis on his attack next season, trying to fit in the two players in Los Blancos lineup.

The predictions are Kylian Mbappe will likely play in the center of an attacking trio, comprising Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo next season.

A central attacking role for Mbappe is not his natural position. He flourishes more when deployed in the wings. So, while Carlo Ancelotti could attempt to manage the trio this season, Vinicius Jr could be forced out unless he or Mbappe adjusts.

Meanwhile, PSG are hoping to capitalize on the possible role crisis to lure Vinicius Jr to the French capital. If the move goes through, it could see the French giants settle the score with Real Madrid, who snapped one of their best strikers Kylian Mbappe for free.
