Arsenal have finally reached an agreement with Bologna to sign highly-rated Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori from the club, MySportDab reports.

An exclusive report shared by Fabrizio confirming the breakthrough by the Gunners read;

“Arsenal and Bologna have reached an agreement for Riccardo Calafiori, after breakthrough revealed earlier!

“Understand fee is €40m plus €5m add-ons and sell-on clause.

“Final step needed: Basel and Bologna to agree 50% sell-on payment terms, then… here we go! 🏁

The agreement comes after Arsenal have been on the trail of Calafiori for weeks. The prolific defender is known for his creativity and strength and has been on the radar of the London outfit following his impressive 2023-24 campaign with Bologna.

Calafiori was also part of Italy Euro 2024 squad, shining bright for the Gli Azzurri despite the team’s premature exit from the competition.

Details of the agreement shows Arsenal will pay €45m for the player, with €5m as add-ons, taking the total transfer value of the player to €45million.

MySportDab understands Arsenal have already reached an agreement on personal terms with Calafiori on a five-year contract after the player gave the nod for a move to London outfit

He will become Arsenal’s first top signing this summer and is expected to play a big role in the club’s defence next season.

The Gunners are also to make more crucial additions to the team this summer as they prepare to stage another challenge for the Premier League title next season.
