Arsenal have named squad for their pre-season tour in the United States of America as the team gear up for the next Premier League campaign, MySportDab reports.
There are big omissions from the squad and other additions. Meanwhile, the London oufit got off the mark in their first pre-season friendly, defeating League One aide, Leyton Orient on Friday.
Now jetting off to the United States of America, they will hope to continue on the promising start.
A list of high-ranking players in the squad are set to miss the pre-season tour in the United States.
Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu are out of the squad. The pair have reportedly been dropped due to injuries.
Also missing out of the squad are the club’s top players, who were in action for their different national teams in the just-concluded Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.
Leading the list is Bukayo Saka, who helped England to the final of the competition. Declan Rice is also out of the squad, including Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba of France, and David Raya of Spain. The aforementioned have been handed longer breaks due to their involvement in the tournament.
Leading the list of players included in the squad include team captain, Martin Odegaard, Eddie Nketiah, and Emile Smith Rowe.
MySportDab understands Eddie Nketiah and Smith Rowe could be leaving Arsenal this summer. The duo’s future at the club remains uncertain.
Arsenal have turned down an offer from Fulham for Smith Rowe while Eddie has been linked to a move to Màrseille.
Nevertheless, the pair have made the squad and could possibly make a case for a regular spot in the team for next season should they impress on the tour.
