With talks ongoing with Bayern Munich, the club’s former president and high-ranking official, Uli Hoeness, has confirmed an update on the transfer proceedings.

In a report shared by with German sports journalist, Maximilian Koch, Uli made it clear he would love Mathijs de Ligt to continue with Bayern Munich for next season but the club won’t stop him from leaving this summer.

“It is possible that a defender will still leave. De Ligt is Dutch, the coach at Man United is Dutch. I would have no problem if he stays,’ Oli said.

A move could see him reunite with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, who worked with the player at Ajax before he joined United.
