Chelsea have unveiled their new signing Filip Jorgensen in another transfer addition to the club this summer, MySportDab reports.
The Blues confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old goalkeeper on a six-year contract till 2030 with an option for 2031.
Jorgensen is joining Chelsea as the club’s first goalkeeper signing this summer and the seventh new addition to the team.
The signing of Filip Jorgensen became necessary for the Blues with Kepa Arrizabalega linked to a move away from the club this summer.
The Dutch shot-stopper, who emerged as Villarreal’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, featuring in the club’s all La Liga matches, is expected to provide competition to Chelsea’s current No.1 goalie Robert Sanchez.

He joins the list of Chelsea’s piling list of new signings this summer.
The London club have been the most active Premier League club in the ongoing transfer window, completing several deals, and are in talks for more addition to the team.
Leading the list of their new addition this summer include Tosin Aderabioyo from Fulham, Marc Guiu from Barcelona, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, and Omari Kellyman.
Jorgensen is expected to jostle for a first-choice goalkeeping role alongside the club’s 2023 summer arrival Djordje Petkovic
Jorgensen has played for only two teams in his professional club career – Villarreal reserve and the main team.
He made 41 appearances in all competitions for the reserve and 38 appearances for the main team. He has tallied a total of 79 senior club career appearances
Following his 2023 breakout campaign with Villarreal, he kept the sticks in the club’s all 38 matches and will hope to ace it with the Blues in the Premier League.
