Chelsea are taking on Wrexham in their first preseason match which would go down in the United States, MySportDab reports.
The Blues have been preparing under their new manager Enzo Maresca who seems to have brought about a new pattern.
All eyes would be on them as they commence their preseason in a warm up game which would see them play against Wrexham.
Same game happened last preseason which ended up with a 5-0 thrashing as the blues were unable Mauricio Pochettino then.
This match would be a different one for both teams involved as they would want to make something significant.
ENZO MARESCA FULL REACTION
Enzo Maresca had his first match day conference as Chelsea boss since making his move official ahead of the new season.
He was put immediately on the spotlight with questions which he did well enough providing answers.
He also cleared the air on Enzo Fernandez possible problems with other Chelsea players after his racist chant.
He Said About Enzo Fernandez:
“I don’t think there will be problems with Enzo Fernandez when he returns. There were no bad intentions, I spoke with Enzo. It’s all clear now”.
“It’s all clarified by the player and the club, so that’s it”.
“Enzo has apologised, there’s no problem at all”.
The issues are settled as the player already made the needed move to settle with the coach and his teammates.
Enzo Maresca also talked about Christopher Nkunku playing a huge part of the team ahead of the new season.
Here Is What He Said:
“Nkunku can play everywhere. He’s doing very well already”.
“He can play number 9, winger, attacking midfielder… he can play everywhere. I see football with player able to play in several positions”.
“I want players to develop and play in several positions”.
Enzo Maresca also talked about the situation with Trevoh Chalobah which is still causing a lot of heated arguments.
He Said:
“It’s always sad to leave a player out… but I’m here to take decisions”.
“We have Wes Fofana, Disasi, Tosin there. Also, we have Acheapong who’s doing fantastic”.
There is nothing different for now concerning Chalobah who is expected to leave the club this summer window.
Chelsea are prepared for their game against Wrexham which is in front of them as they would want to start with a victory.
