Manchester United goakeeper David De Gea has made a bold transfer decision as preparations for 2024-25 season take center stage across major leagues in Europe, MySportDab reports.

Since leaving Manchester United as a free agent last summer, De Gea has yet to secure a new contract and has been linked with a move to other clubs.

Spanish clubs, Real Betis, including Valencia, and Atletico Madrid have been big mentions as the goalkeeper’s possible next stop.

He was also linked with a move to Inter Milan in Serie A, immediately after leaving Manchester United. Reports claimed the Serie A giants registered interests on signing the Spaniard but could not reach an agreement for a deal.

Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr were also linked to the player but he reportedly turned down the offer, hoping to continue his career in Europe.

Amidst his deadlock, he has been spotted on individual training sessions as he hopes for a fresh new chapter after the Man United deadlock.

With the 2024-25 season set to start, De Gea has made a bold move on his career. According to Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, the Spaniard has told Serie A club, Genoa, of his availability and is ready to join the club.

Genoa finished 11th on the Serie A table last season and would welcome a goalkeeper in the profile of David De Gea with a lot of experience.

However, it is understood they have yet to take a decision on whether to sign him or not.

De Gea exited Manchester United as a free agent in June 2023 after he failed to reach agreement on a new contract proposal with the club.

A move to Serie A will see him return to footballing action for the first after over 12 months.
