FT: Manchester City 2-2 Barcelona, Barca Win 1-4 Via PENALTIES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Barcelona claimed a victory over Manchester City in their preseason match 1-4 via penalties after playing a 2-2 draw, MySportDab reports.

It’s another defeat for Pep Guardiola who has been struggling to make things happen in their ongoing preseason.

Hansi Flick gets another boost from a good and well-deserved victory from his side who made sure they put in all the work needed.

First Half Report 

It was solid from the start with both teams ensuring they had their game plan working out from the beginning of the match which had a lot of moments.

Manchester City came in strong but it was Pau Victor who gave the Spanish side the lead after his wonderful goal which came in the 24th minute to make it 0-1.

Barcelona had a lot to play for with the game pushing on while they made it good until Nico O’Reilly leveler which came in the 39th minute to make things 1-1.

It was raining opportunities all through the remaining minutes of the match until Pablo Torre scored in the additional time ensuring his side took a 1-2 lead.

Barcelona were settled as they headed for the break with a 1-2 lead against Manchester City who weren’t that bad themselves despite how things looked.

Second Half Report 

Both teams resumed for the second half with more left to play by as they wanted to get the victory by all means.

Manchester City leveled things 2-2 with Jack Grealish’s goal which came in the 59th minute after so much was played between both teams.

Barcelona kept their composure and continued the match making sure they created opportunities and tried to see what could happen for them.

The 90 minutes of play ended with no team being able to win the match as they settled for a 2-2 draw after normal time played.

However, it was Barcelona who had the last laugh after making sure they won 1-4 in penalties against Manchester City who suffered another loss.
