FT: Manchester City 3-4 Celtic, EPL Champions Lose In Pre-Season (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Manchester City lost 3-4 against Celtic in their opening preseason game ahead of the new season, MySportDab reports.

Erling Haaland’s goal wasn’t enough to save the Premier League Champions who ended up losing their match.

However, for the Scottish side, it will be a victory they could cherish despite it being just another friendly encounter.

First Half Report 

Both teams had their moments of opportunities trying to see what they could make happen which wasn’t coming through.

Celtic took the lead in the 13th minute after a well-finished goal from Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn who immediately made things 0-1.

Manchester City continued pushing until Oscar Bobb scored a stunner to level things 1-1 between both teams in the 33rd minute of the encounter.

More opportunities came through for both teams but it was the Scottish side who took the lead through Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn who made it 1-2 in the 36th minute.

The lead increased to 1-3 in the 44th minute after another wonderful goal which this time was scored by Kyogo Furuhashi as the first half ended with Manchester City 1-3 Celtic.

Second Half Report 

The second half was where the Premier League side had all the time and opportunity to make sure they grabbed something good but failed.

Although they started well with Perrone’s goal which came in the 46th minute making sure Manchester City cut down the lead to 2-3.

It was far from over for Celtic who saw their lead chopped off in the 57th minute after a sensational goal from Erling Haaland which made it 3-3.

The game was looking great until Palmer scored for the Scottish Champions with a goal that came in the 68th minute making things 3-4.

The match came to an end with Celtic claiming a 3-4 victory against Manchester City in their preseason friendly match which came as a shock loss for the Premier League side.
