Johnny Evans Signs New Man United Contract

Manchester United defender Johnny Evans has penned down a new one-year contract with the club, MySportDab reports.

The Northern Ireland defender re-sign for United last summer and was crucial to the club’s domestic and European campaign.

He joined on a one-year contract which expired at the end of the last campaign. Following the expiration of last-term deal, United have opted to keep the veteran right-back on another one-year contract.

United club statement confirming the new contract extension for Evans reads;

“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that Jonny Evans has signed a new one-year contract with the club, keeping him here until June 2025,”

This means Evans will continued with United again in the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Reacting to the new extension, he said

“I it my delight to sign another contract with Manchester United. I am happy to play for this club. The fans are amazing. It is a great privilege for me and I am happy to stay again for another year.

”It was an honor for me to return to the club last season, and playing along very good teammates and a great manager.

“The biggest moment for me was winning the FA Cup and I know we will challenge for more titles this term.  I am very happy to be a part of this project.”

Johnny Evans made 30 appearances for Manchester United last season in all competitions. He was used as a substitute during FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at Wembley.

The 35-year-old will hope to continue on his brilliant form as he sets out for a fresh new challenge with the club.
