Footie ace Lionel Messi has reacted to Argentina Vs Morocco chaotic opening match in the ongoing 2024 Olympics Men’s Football Tournament in France, MySportDab reports.
The Atlas Lions stunned Argentina with a five-star performance at the Saint Etienne Stadium. A brace from Al Ain forward Soufiane Rahimi saw the African contingents triumph past the South American counterparts.
In the second half, Rahimi scored again 10 minutes before the hour mark to draw Morocco close to a big win over the Argentines.
18 minutes after Rahimi’s goal, Simeone found the back of the net for Argentina, halving the deficit, and setting the game on a frenetic tempo.
Reeling against mounting pressure, Morocco held on to the 2-1 lead until the last lap of proceedings. Meanwhile, tensions was already gathering in Morocco’s fans stand towards the end of the match.
Swedish center-referee, Glenn Nyberg, added 15 minutes after regulation time with Morocco fans angry with the lengthy additional minutes. Argentina scored a late equaliser at the last touch of the ball, sparking an outrage by the Moroccan fans.

Reacting to the attack, Lionel Messi took to his Instagram Story to drop an emoji, expressing shock at the incident. He wrote, ‘insoluto,’ meaning, ‘unusual.’
Messi confirmed he won’t be available for tournament due to the Copa America 2024. His reaction underscores his disapproval of the incident.
Morocco won the match 2-1 after the final whistle and will play Ukraine in their next match in Group B.
