Marseille will be Mason’s third stop in his career and his second after he returned from his 18-month exile away from football due to assault charges in 2022.
The 22-year-old will be hoping to continue on his roaring return to form with the Ligue 1 outfit as he sets out for a fresh new chapter.
Recall Greenwood steamrollered back to form while on loan to Getafe following his return to footballing action.
In 27 La Liga appearances, he scored 8 goals with 6 assists to reach his highest goal contributions tally in a single season and was awarded Getafe Best Player of the Season to crown his impressive six-month spell with the club.
Despite calls by some United fans to have the right-winger back to the team after his impressive loan spell with Getafe, United opted for a permanent exit solution for the player due to the scar of the assault saga.
Meanwhile, Greenwood was equally ready for a new chapter away from the Old Trafford outfit after the Getafe loan spell. He reportedly put up his £2m Cheshire home for sale, as per the Sun.
He is the second top United player to leave the club on a permanent transfer this summer after Donny van de Beek. United have also parted ways with French defender Raphael Varane and forward Anthony Martial after their contract expired.
Jadon Sancho is the next top player also set for an exit from the club with Juventus interested in his services.
Mason Greenwood made 129 appearances, scoring 35 goals throughout his career with Manchester United and will hope to ace it at as well in French Ligue with Olympique Marseille.
