Chelsea Reject Bid For Kepa Arrizabalega
Chelsea have reportedly rejected an undisclosed bid for out-of-favor goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalega.
Arrizabalega, 29, is back to the Blues squad after his loan spell with Real Madrid. However, he has been reportedly training with the club’s development squad instead of the first team.
This shows he is out of the club’s plans for the upcoming season. 2023-24 Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Ittihad, have been linked to the Spaniard and are the club that tabled the rejected bid for the player.
The Saudi outfit are expected to make an improved offer for the goalkeeper with hopes of brokering a deal with the Blues.
Napoli move for Romelu Lukaku
Romelu Lukaku is close to continuing his career in Serie A. The Belgium international is due back to Chelsea after his loan deal expire but is among out-of-favor Chelsea players in the chopping block this summer.
Napoli are reportedly are reportedly ready to sign the forward but must meet Chelsea’s £37m asking price. Lukaku, on the other hand, is also interested in signing for the Azzurri. He wants a reunion with his former manager at Inter Milan, Antonio Conte, who is now Napoli’s new manager.
Mario Balotelli close to Corinthians move
Mario Balotelli, 33, is hopeful of continuing his career after his spell with Adana Demirspor ended. Now, a free agent, ESPN reports that Balotelli is close to completing a move to Continthians. Corinthians sports director also confirmed an agreement has been reached with the Premier League legend and Italian footballer.
Corinthians will be Mario Balotelli’s 13th stop in his prolific career that has spanned over a decade.
Nico Williams to Barcelona close
Nico Williams is finally set to seal a move to La Liga giants, Barcelona. La Liga president, Javier Tebas, in a report shared by Spanish outlet, sport, confirmed Barcelona are close to reaching an agreement with Athletic Bilbao for Williams.
Talks are advancing into the final stages with Williams open to joining the 2022-23 La Liga champions.
Arsenal close to Riccardo Calafiori deal
Arsenal are closing in on their move for top-rated Bologna’ defender Riccardo Calafiori. According to multiple outlets, the Gunners are close to agreeing a deal with Bologna for the player to switch to London.
Personal terms has already been agreed by the two parties with the Italy international awaiting Bologna’s verdict to make the switch.
