Arsenal Players Dominate 2024 PFA Team of The Year [See Full List]

The 2024 PFA Team of the Year has been released with top Premier League players who starred for their respective teams making the list, MySportDab reports.

Note that the PFA Awards are voted for by the Premier League players themselves, with nominees bagging awards based on the number of votes received compared to their rivals.

There isn’t much surprise on the names listed in the team for 2024 but the exclusion of Cole Palmer has got football fans talking. Palmer scored 22 goals with 11 assists in a remarkable debut run with Chelsea.

However, the Chelsea sensation was not entirely left out of the award. He won the Young Player of the Year gong.

2024 PFA Awards: who made the list?

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya won the award for the best goalkeeper of the campaign. Recall Raya won the Premier League Golden Glove for the most clean sheets (16) in the season. The PFA Awards was their fitting finale for the Spaniard’s remarkable campaign with the Gunners.

On the defence, three clubs are represented – Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. Arsenal duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have made the list.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is also listed in the award, including Manchester City and England defender Kyle Walker.

In the midfield, Arsenal dominates again with two of their players – Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard making the cut. Manchester City midfielder Rodri completes the three-man best midfield selections.

In the attack, England and Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins makes the cut with Manchester City attacking duo Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

Erling Haaland was the 2023-24 top scorer, winning the Premier League Golden Boot with 27 league goals. Watkins and Foden scored 16 goals each in the campaign.
