Chelsea have submitted a hid for Victor Osimhen as they closed in on signing the Napoli forward before the transfer window closes, MySportDab reports.

The Blues’ have literally just hours to sort out Victor Osimhen’s deal and are facing a stiff competition from Al-Ahli, who have landed in Italy for talks with Napoli for the player.

Osimhen’s next stop is still unclear but it could boiled down to the final minutes and seconds before the transfer window closes.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have submitted a bid to Napoli for the player. Further details of the report reveals it is a loan deal with an obligation  to buy as Victor Osimhen wanted from the start.

Recall Osimhen wanted a move to Chelsea only if it is a permanent deal or a loan deal with an ‘obligation to buy’ clause not ordinary ‘buy-out option.’

The last hurdle now in Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea is his salary with Fabrizio Romano confirming talks are ongoing between the two parties for a resolution on salary terms.

Meanwhile, Al-Ahli don’t have issues with personal terms with Osimhen but are in talks with Napoli for the transfer fee.  They have reportedly entered the final stages of negotiations but a deal could only happen if Chelsea’s move for Osimhen collapses, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.

Also, the Saudi side have until October 2024 to sort out Osimhen’s deal. This means if Chelsea cannot reach agreement with the 25-year-old in the next couple of hours, Osimhen could be heading to Saudi Arabia.

Nothing could be ascertained as things but the the fate of the player is likely to be sealed in the next couple of hours.
