Declan Rice was shown a red card as Arsenal drew 1-1 at home against Brighton and Hove Albion, MySportDab reports.

It was a hard-fought match for Mikel Arteta’s side who couldn’t make much despite Kai Havertz’s goal from the first half.

First Half Report

The opening game for matchday three commenced with both London sides coming with massive boosts after the window closed.

Arsenal dominated play with a solid starting lineup from Mikel Arteta which was led by Kai Havertz with two players on both wings.

It was solid from Brighton and Hove Albion standing firm and ensuring there was nothing that would see them concede an easy goal on their end.

The match passed the half-hour mark with nothing happening until the 38th minute which saw Bukayo Saka delivered an assist to Kai Havertz who made things 1-0.

The goal from the 38th minute was the only action as Arsenal put themselves in front after 45 minutes which saw them keeping a 1-0 lead against Brighton.

Second Half Report

The second half quickly changed for the Gunners who were left to make some tactical decision after going one player down.

Arsenal did well enough until Declan Rice’s red card in the 49th minute which saw them being reduced by one player for the remainder of the match.

Joao Pedro leveled things for Brighton and Hove Albion in the 58th minute which ensured the game was tied 1-1 between both teams for the afternoon.

The remaining minute of the game was all about opportunities with both teams pushed but none could get the lead which was desperately needed by both of them going forward.

It was one point for both teams who couldn’t make anything much which saw the game finishing with Arsenal 1-1 Brighton and Hove Albion after 90 minutes at the Emirates Stadium.
