Lesley Ugochukwu’s late goal helped Chelsea end their preseason with a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan, MySportDab reports.
It was yet another struggle for Enzo Maresca’s side who dominated play but couldn’t make anything come to reality.
The game had its moments from both ends which Ugochukwu came to the rescue for the Blues who were already bracing for a loss.
First Half Report
The game was all about the Blues from kickoff who dominated play and did everything possible to get themselves in front but failed.
Inter Milan was very present in the match doing all they could to contain the pressure they faced from the home team which didn’t stop.
It was Chelsea bossing play but couldn’t manifest anything tangible despite coming close to registering a goal but everything failed for them.
Marcus Thuram scored in the 26th minute after an error from the Blues which saw the away side making sure they capitalized and made things 0-1.
Inter Milan cruised through into the break with a 0-1 lead against Chelsea in a brilliant first 45 minutes which wasn’t pleasant for the Blues despite the pressing.
Second Half Report
There was enough with both teams looking at making something off their play while the managers made some changes.
Inter Milan stayed calm knowing they had the lead and needed to ensure they kept their composure while things progressed further.
Meanwhile, Chelsea came close with Christopher Nkunku’s bicycle kick saved by the goalkeeper which could have easily been the leveler.
The game pushed on until the 89th minute which saw Lesley Ugochukwu score with a powerful strike which ensured things became 1-1.
Chelsea was able to finish the game with a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in their final preseason match which was another struggle but they ended up not losing again.
